A stunning platinum diamond and sapphire vintage ladies’ engagement ring. Center stone is an EGL US certified 1.42 carat old European cut diamond of  I color  and VS1 clarity.  Center diamond  is set in a platinum mounting with hand-engraved detailing throughout, and held in place by four trefoil prongs. The basket of the mounting is further embellished with four single-cut diamonds and four triangular sapphires. Based on the materials used, style, and overall craftsmanship, this ring was most likely made during the Art Deco era, c. 1915 – 1930.
