Topaz and Enamel Ring
Topaz and Enamel Ring
I’ll admit, most nights we end up in front of the TV. That British thriller’s new season is just really…thrilling, you know? But tonight we want to do things a little differently. He’s brewed a whole pot of tea, that nice herbal blend my aunt gave us last Christmas. Lit all the candles. Brought out his sketchbook and my half finished knitting. How often have we said we wanted to pick these back up? We sit on the couch, he pulls my feet on his lap. Pulls the quilt over us. The perfect cozy night in, for art, for crafts.
Made in the early 20th Century, this ring was made during the Arts and Crafts period, which celebrated handcraft and natural motifs and colors. It features a step cut, bezel-set smokey topaz. The design’s red and green enamel geometric design tops a mostly closed basket and a floral shank in 14K yellow gold.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently a finger size 6 and can be resized.
