Entwined Snakes Ring
Entwined Snakes Ring
It’s the warmest hug, your favorite. The kind where everything goes perfectly. A gently solid embrace, entwined arms, my head just there. Everything fits just right.
These entwined snakes, in their eternal embrace, would love to hug your finger. Snakes were an icon of Victorian design, a symbol of love, and this is a fine example of that trend. Their coiled handmade 18k yellow gold setting has two wee rose cut diamond eyes and an 0.50ct old mine cut set into each head, for a total diamond carat weight of approximately 1.0CTW. This ring has English hallmarks for 18K gold from the Chester assay office; it was made c. 1897. A maker's mark is stamped R.N. We have not been able to identify the maker. The band measures 3/8” in width.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. Presently a finger size 7.75 and can be resized.
