Double Snake Ring c. 1879
Double Snake Ring c. 1879
Two snakes are entwined forever in this 18K yellow gold Victorian ring. Nestled together, the smiling pair feature rose cut diamond eyes. Serpents, symbolizing eternity, were a common motif for Victorian jewelry; even Queen Victoria’s engagement ring had one! The hallmarks on this romantic example indicate it was made in Birmingham, England c.1879.
This ring is in very good antique condition. It is a US size 7.25 and can be re-sized within limitations.
