We like to leave each other notes, the wilder the place, the better. “Happy Autumn, my love” on top of my sweaters. “You’re the hottest you’ve ever been!” underneath the thermometer in the bathroom. And post-its everywhere, in your bag, on the fridge, greeting me in the morning on the mirror, “I love you, I hope you have a wonderful day.”

Long before we could leave a post-it on the bathroom mirror, this old world ring expressed old time love. This American-made Victorian agate ring declares its affection with the engraved message "Wife to Husband Dec. 25 1873" on the inside of the wide rosy gold band. There is geometric engraving around the 0.75" long red sardonyx agate in an open back setting. Additional engraving around the setting and on the shoulders gives this 14K rosy yellow gold piece lovely antique detail.

This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently finger size 4.5 and can be resized.
