T.B. Starr Ruby and Diamond Ring

$12,000.00

How we adore the work of Theodore B. Starr, a late 19th Century and early 20th Century jewelry house run by the artists themselves, right here in New York City. Their exceptional quality of material. Their clean, simple, timeless design. While this ring’s design is timeless, we can in fact date it to its year of creation thanks to a lovely hand engraved inscription on the inside of the band.

Here’s a wonderful example of Starr’s work, a 14K yellow gold and platinum turn of the 20th Century-made gemstone ring. At its center is an AGL certified 1.19 carat natural mixed cut ruby of gorgeous red color in a six prong setting. On each shoulder are three old European cut diamonds totaling approx. 0.44ctw set in platinum prongs. The inside of the tapering gold band is engraved "HLB to EW July 22nd 1899". It also has the maker’s mark of exceptional 19th and early 20th Century jeweler T. B. Starr.

This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently finger size 5.5 and can be resized, please note this will interrupt the interior engraved inscription.
