Sunset Opal Ring
Sunset Opal Ring
It’s a classically perfect sunset, the sun’s daily graceful glide to the water’s edge. Just before the sun leaves the watercolor painted sky, a bright streak of warm green color flashes up, seemingly from the depths below.
That’s amazing, she thought. Where have I seen that flash before?
The Australian opal flashes impressive color. And this white opal cabochon is exceptionally lovely with wonderful green, blue and even some red play in the light. Set in 14K rosy yellow gold, the oval opal is prong set and surrounded by happy white old mine cut diamonds totaling .90ctw. It was made c.1890-1910.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. Presently a finger size 5 and can be resized.
