Sparkling Urn Ring
Sparkling Urn Ring
An urn, the vessel. In mourning jewelry, there’s the obvious meaning. But what if the urn was a vessel for whatever I want it to be. My hopes, my wishes, my fondest memories. This symbol on my finger, a little image I can take with me wherever I like. And it barely weighs a thing.
A stunning mid-Victorian ring with 17 rose cut diamonds and an old mine cut diamond decorating a central silver urn. The urn is set atop a gorgeous cobalt blue navette shaped background, with the border surrounded by 34 additional rose cut diamonds. Stones are set in silver atop a lightly flourished, bead adorned, tapering 18K yellow gold band. Based on materials and design, this ring was made c. 1850.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently finger size 6 and can be resized.
