Opal Three Stone with Rose Cuts
Opal Three Stone with Rose Cuts
Stop and enjoy the heavenly blue water of the aquarium, the vast undersea landscape with tendrils of overhead light waving down toward the depths. There’s motion in this ocean, imagination brought to life, a symphony of swirls. Flashes of red, of orange, of blue, as schools of fish dart to and fro, up and down in their aquatic ballet. It’s such an enchanting play of color, wonderful to behold.
We’re enamoured of the play of color in this Victorian three stone opal ring. Three lightly graduated round opal cabochons have strong red-orange, green and blue flashes. Snuggled betwixt them are four tiny rose cut diamonds, with an additional one at each end. All are prong set atop an engraved swirling, ornate, classically Victorian mounting which tapers to a 1.9mm band. Just magnificent. This ring was made c. 1880.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently finger size 5 and can be resized.
