Old European and Step Cut Diamonds in 18K
Old European and Step Cut Diamonds in 18K
Structural and geometric, this 18K white gold and diamond engagement ring dates to the 1920’s. The enter diamond is an old European cut approximately 0.45 carats, I-J color and VS2 clarity. On either side of the center diamond are two graduated baguettes with horizontal orientation and a third is perpendicular. All baguettes are bright, white and set flush into the shoulders with a touch of millegrain. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.81ctw. Lovely pierce work, millegrain and engraving halfway down the sides of the dainty band. Made in 18K white gold, likely American origin. The inside of the band is stamped 18K and with a maker’s mark we have not been able to identify.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently a size 8 and can be re-sized upon request.
