Diamond Studded Snake Ring
Diamond Studded Snake Ring
Perfectly imperfect starts as a feeling. Then, you start to put the pieces together, just so. A flourish here. A hand engraved detail there. Gemstones that might not match look amazing set beside each other. They form a creation amongst their parts. Truly original, one of a kind.
This antique snake feels like one in a million, gently coiled, multi-diamond set, with wee ruby eyes. Diamonds range from 0.01 to 0.08 carats of perfectly imperfect old mine cut diamonds. All stones are snug in crimped silver settings atop a 15K yellow gold body. This Victorian ring was made c. 1830-1850.
Snakes in 19th century jewelry have come to symbolize love. The diamonds in along the head are a nod to eternity and with flashing ruby eyes to signify passion.
This ring is in very good antique condition. It is finger size 6.75 and can be resized.
