Deco Diamond and Emerald Target Ring
Deco Diamond and Emerald Target Ring
It’s the stuff of a Jane Austen novel: Emma and Mr. Knightley bantering (flirting?) in the garden over rounds of archery. Witty repartee exchanged amid the thwacks of arrows hitting their targets. Bout after bout, as they try to best each other, there’s one arrow they don’t see. This couple’s aim may be good, but Cupid’s is the best; they are absolutely falling in love.
We live for antique gems like this, a gorgeous Art Deco era diamond and emerald target ring. It features a center approx. 0.85 carat old European cut diamond of H color and VS2 clarity, bezel-set. It has a lovely surround of 19 calibre cut emeralds set in a millegrained yellow gold bezel. And, to complete the target, there is an external surround of 28 antique bead-set rose cut diamonds in platinum. An additional rose cut diamond is set into each shoulder amongst millegrain detail, all atop a column-like band, the inside of which is stamped Platinum.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. It is presently finger size 6.25 and can be resized.
