Ornate Victorian Chain
Ornate Victorian Chain
They certainly don’t make ‘em like this breathtaking chain anymore! This substantial 14K yellow gold piece is crafted of ribbon-like quadruple links studded with beads, creating a design full of movement and detail. This piece was most likely made in the United States c. 1870. Originally used as a women’s watch chain, it has both a spring ring and swivel clasp, which would have held the watch; wear it with your favorite heavy locket, or attach the two clasps to each other to create an unbroken loop. At 40”, it can be worn long or easily doubled.
This chain is in excellent antique condition.
