This fabulous necklace dates to the late-nineteenth century and is a wonderful piece for those who like their accessories to have a little pop of color. The diamond-shaped locket is crafted in 14k yellow gold and set with a square tablet of lapis lazuli framed by a double border of black and green enamel. The locket is suspended from a small, pierce-work shield that connects to a slender cable chain in 14k yellow gold. The locket measures 1 inch by 1 inch, the distance from the shield to the bottom of the locket is 2 ¼ inches, and the chain measures 15 inches.

This necklace is in very good antique condition. Solder from an old repair is visible at the bail, and there is a small area of abrasion on one corner of the lapis lazuli.
