Early 20th Century Coral Chain
Early 20th Century Coral Chain
We are endlessly delighted by turn-of-the-twentieth-century chains. Often made with navette (pointed-oval) links, a close look will almost always be rewarded by tiny cut-out patterns, dainty filigree or engraved flora. Yet here, the tradition turns maximalist with uncommonly large navette links that feature hand-twisted wire centers. The necklace is punctuated by groups of three coral beads in the rich red color coveted for millennia, and each is nestled in handmade fluted end caps. From the early 20th century.
This chain is in excellent antique condition. Made in 18 karat yellow gold and measuring 54.0”
