Long before Edison bulbs and LEDs, the soft light of the candle lit all of evening’s moments, both big and small. Likewise, finding ways to catch that light, to make it dance, has been a long respected artform. The most obvious example is, of course, a gemstone’s facets. But one of our other favorite techniques is textured engraving, little peaks and valleys creating shine and shadow.

That technique meets the present day with these vintage engraved hoops. The tapering knife's edge design has an engraved chevron design to catch the light just right. The earrings are made hollow, lightweight, and just so wearable. There are worn stamps on the curved earwire but we have not been able to identify them. 

These earrings are in excellent vintage condition. They measure 1 1/8" in diameter.
