Stippled Torpedo Earrings

$3,850.00

Clink the side of the crystal champagne flute to announce your toast. Type out your letter on that vintage Smith Corona. Use grandma’s antique brass door knocker to announce your arrival for Sunday supper. Some sounds have their own special music, we may not hear it often but when we do? That tap, tap, tap, it’s just so satisfying.

Victorian 14K yellow gold torpedo earrings with an allover stippled finish. This decorative technique, done by hand, is a tap tap tap to create a lovely, unique texture. The front of the torpedo has lines of black enamel and a geometric design. It hinges from a geometric top which shares stipple and black enamel detailing. Likely of American origin, they were made c.1880.

These earrings are in excellent antique condition. They measure 2 3/8" long from the top of the shepherd’s hook.
