Edwardian Moonstone Earrings
Edwardian Moonstone Earrings
Lovely antique earrings that speak to such a neat design moment. These were made around the turn of the 20th Century. There's Edwardian elegance in the dangle, each of which features four old mine cut diamonds suspended from a floral, rose cut diamond-set top (approx. 0.25CTW). From there hangs an oval approx. 1.0 carat blue flash moonstone cabochon (2.0CTW), whose organic, adularescent beauty was popular in the period’s Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts design movements. A singular moment in antiques history.
All stones are set in silver atop rose gold, with 15K gold ear wires. They measure 1.25" long from the top of the silver design, not including the ear wires. Based upon materials and design, these earrings were made c. 1900.
