Edwardian Moonstone Dangles

$5,600.00

Summertime in the city, and how the sunlight flashes as we’re cruising down the street. Its brilliance bounces off the metal hood ornament (we prefer to call it a motor mascot), your sunglass lenses, the polished clasp on your leather handbag. Think back a hundred years ago, what might have caught that glint of light? A sculptural gold cane head, a carriage’s coach light, the buttons on your waistcoat. And, whether back then or just now, it flashes on every sparking gemstone earring.

There’s wonderful Edwardian elegance in these floral dangle earrings. Each features a decorated cluster dangle with a blue flash moonstone cabochon center with enough adularescence to catch the eye. It is bezel-set with petal-like openwork and an old cut diamond surround. A chain of bezel-set diamonds hangs the earring from a lever back closure. All 28 diamonds, which total approximately 2.80CTW, are set in platinum with 14K yellow gold lever backs. Edwardian era made c.1910.

These earrings are in excellent antique condition. They measure 1.25" in length. The cluster measures 9/16” in diameter.
