In the Victorian era, it was common to go from day to night by slipping a dangle onto your earrings to create a more detailed look. In this fetching pair, the top of the earring features an old mine cut diamond collet-set in silver with a hinged back-to-front 18K yellow gold earwire. The diamonds are approximately 0.57 and 0.60 carats each. The removable silver drop-shaped dangle has a black enamel border and an airy old mine cut diamond set floral motif, which adds an additional approximately 1.06CTW. The total diamond carat weight is approx. 2.23CTW, calculated by formula. Based upon materials and design, they were made c. 1850.

These earrings are in great antique condition. They measure 1.5" long including the dangle.
