The art of the block print. Carve a layer of the design into a surface, roll over ink and press to the paper. Then carve a new layer, with each one adding some additional hand wrought detail. The final print is a vision of all those ideas, all those carvings, brought together into one beautiful whole.

This Victorian-era locket is fully hand engraved with that kind of art and care. The 18k yellow gold oval locket features an elegant, geometric border and is embellished with dainty flowers and center swirls. The inside is stamped with maker's mark JB, which we have not been able to identify. Glass frame in the interior.

This pendant is in excellent antique condition. It measures 1 3/8" in length. A variety of gold chains are available separately for purchase.
