At the height of summer, shall we see what grows on the vine? Our trellis is veritably bursting. Long purple wisteria, cascading honeysuckle, while sweet pea climbs up from the bottom. Delicate patterns of vine-like filigree exemplify the Art Nouveau design period. And on this piece, expertly articulated links allow the jewel to lay perfectly along the collar bone, like a golden tattoo. And, it’s French, of course.

A darling handmade fringe necklace with eight bezel-set sapphire cabochon dangles. Wonderful graduated swirling wire fringe links with beadwork and orange blossom detail. The chain consists of elongated oval wire links. There are French hallmarks on the jump ring. An early Art Nouveau creation made c. 1880. 

This necklace is in excellent antique condition. It measures 16" long.
