Edwardian Marquise Chain
Edwardian Marquise Chain
The drops of rain on a windowpane. The beads of condensation on my glass. It’s an organic artform, the water’s sparkling movement, lovely and languidly descending, catching the light just so.
We see a little bit of that delicate movement and gentle sparkle in this beautiful handmade Edwardian era diamond chain necklace, just so lovely and feminine. It has 12 stations of graduated marquise cut diamonds wrapped in platinum wire, for a total diamond carat weight of approx. 1.50CTW. 11 decorative open-work knot stations are set between the diamonds, connected by handmade platinum cable chain. The spring ring clasp is stamped Pt950. It was made c.1910.
This chain is in excellent antique condition. It measures 20.5" long.
