Diamond Hexagon Pendant
Diamond Hexagon Pendant
An ode to the hexagon: the most efficient shape in nature. Whether it’s storing the sweet honey of a bee hive, focusing the vision of a dragonfly, or acting as the palate for the lacy detail of a snowflake, this shape is a strong, perfectly balanced frame for something beautiful.
We’re smitten with it here as the starting point for this pendant’s design. It features a center rose cut diamond set in a millegrained bezel. The pierced surround features 12 of the tiniest bead-set single cut diamonds and additional millegrain. The pendant was made in the early 20th Century, probably early Art Deco, and measures 3/8" in diameter. All diamonds are set in silver and the pendant hangs from a modern 18" 14K yellow gold chain.
This necklace is in excellent antique (pendant) and modern (chain) condition. The chain has an additional jump ring to wear the necklace at 16" instead of 18” if desired.
