Antique Diamond Cross
Antique Diamond Cross
We’re walking through Europe’s great cities. And, we promised ourselves we’d stop in every church along the way, if only just for a minute. They’re often quiet, introspective places, lovely to take a moment away from the bustle of the city streets. We appreciate the labors of love within: the hand-carved wood, mosaics tiles each placed by hand, every glass window pane made to perfectly fit within the desired image. Like a museum, it’s a place to contemplate and celebrate the incredible artistry of yore.
This handmade cross is such a thing of beauty. It features 12 old mine cut diamonds (approx. 0.13ct/each) set in millegrained bezels. The ornate millegrained wire border is dotted with 30 rose cut diamonds. The platinum sits atop an 18K yellow gold frame for both the cross and its diamond-set bail. Diamonds range J-L color and are of approximately VS2 clarity. An exquisite antique, this piece was made c. 1895.
This pendant is in excellent antique condition. It measures 1.75" long and 1 1/8" wide. A variety of gold chains are available separately for purchase.
