This dramatic pair of earrings dates c.1870 and features drops of intricately carved jet topped with 14k yellow gold saw-tooth caps. Jet is the fossilized wood of ancient trees, and is surprisingly lightweight.  Earrings measure approximately 2 ½ inches in length and ½ inch in diameter at their widest point.

These earrings are in excellent antique condition.
