It’s after 5pm, martini time. Or maybe a spritz. But first, swim toggs kicked to the hotel bathroom floor, shirt and jacket hung from the back of the door. A bit of steam gets those transatlantic wrinkles right out. Salty sea hair slicked back. A quick touch to the wrists to add a wee gleam of bright gold. 

Two piece set of oval cufflinks with a woven motif of stippled and polished gold with a solid border.  The woven motif was popular in the early-mid 20th Century. These are weighty and have hinged terminals with French export hallmarks. 

These cufflinks are in excellent antique condition. The oval design measures 22mm x15.5mm at its widest parts.
