The early 20th Century: hair lengths and hem lines were getting shorter. As the fashion changed with innovative new patterns and fabrics, so too did the accessories evolve to complement this new style, and bringing some of their own innovation, as well.

These Retro era dress clips are such a neat artifact of that moment. They feature oval sapphire cabochons, which became a popular cut for sapphires in the mid 1930s. They are snugly set here in platinum prongs alongside stunning bursts of round and baguette cut diamonds.

You can unleash this vintage glam in a couple of neat ways. The dress clips can be worn entwined and locked within a brooch frame to be pinned on as a single piece. Or, remove the brooch frame to separate the two clips and place one or both clips however you like! They’re stunning, whether staggered along the neck of a dress or clipped on a jacket’s lapels. Or, get creative, it’s the very intention of this piece.

These dress clips are in excellent vintage condition. As a brooch, the piece measures 3 1/8" in width.
