Corrugated Panther Link Bracelet
Corrugated Panther Link Bracelet
A pleated wide leg trouser with the toe of a low pump peaking out, or maybe a laced Oxford. A soft button down shirt, open at the neck, sleeves folded up into loose cuffs. A breezy, masculine-meets-feminine style the likes of which Katherine Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich pioneered, and we love to emulate. But how to adorn this look, which would feel as home driving a convertible down the coast as it would gardening, running around the playground, running for the subway. Something gold and bold on that open wrist. A little bit machinist, both hard and curved.
Rosy 1" wide rounded square links are connected by alternating yellow and rosy corrugated panther-style links. The box clasp has a figure-eight safety and additional safety chain which needs repair. Hollow links make this bracelet super lightweight and wearable. Stamped 18K with a maker's mark we have not been able to identify. It was made c. 1940.
This bracelet is in excellent vintage condition. It measures 8.25" in length.
