Say Yes to Wednesday: 2.15ct Art Deco diamond

We have a little saying here at Gray & Davis. It’s a call-and-response that we use to rate every fabulous diamond (and colored stone!) engagement ring that enters our booth. Quite simply, we ask,

Would you say yes?

The answer on our end is always, “I’d say yes,” of course, so we thought we send our question out into the world and see what kind of response we would receive.

Amazing faceting!

Amazing faceting!

Today’s offering is a fantastic example of early Art Deco geometric design, from the faceting of the sparkly 2.15ct Old European cut diamond, to the arrangement of the baguette and single cut diamonds on each shoulder. The center diamond is EGL certified as I-J color, VS2 clarity. The ring is fashioned circa 1920 in platinum, Art Deco jewelers’ most popular choice of metal. Presently a size 6.75, this ring could easily be sized. This diamond delivers lots of look while sitting low to the hand – a tall order for a stone of this carat weight.
