Last night we were pleased as punch to attend the opening of Cycles of Life: Rings from the Benjamin Zucker Collection at the NYC gallery of Les Enluminures. Dozens of museum-quality, rare and extraordinary rings spanning from Ancient Rome through the Eighteenth century were on display (and available for sale).
A few of our favorites are shown below:
Roman octahedral diamond ring; Roman Empire, 3rd-4th century AD.
Renaissance gimmel ring with Memento Mori; Germany, dated 1631.
Greek snake ring with a garnet heart; Hellenistic Greece, 2nd-1st century BC.
