A romantic "crowned heart" to symbolize the worthiness of love. The central 1.88 carat pear brilliant diamond exhibis light color and VS2 clarity. This “heart” stone is further embellished by single cut diamonds set as a crown and along the ring’s shoulders. Total diamond weight of the ring is 2.21 carats. Stones are set in silver collets atop a 15kt yellow gold shank, decorated with a beaded pattern. This ring was likely made in the late nineteenth century, but its design evokes love token jewelry of the earlier Georgian era. It is presently a size six and can be resized. It is in very good antique condition, with minor signs of wear comensurate with age.
