Victorian Gold Keeper Ring

$2,100.00

Keeper rings served a dual purpose: one practical, one romantic. On the practical side of things, they were worn stacked with pricey gemstone bands to make sure the more valuable jewel would not slip off the finger. On the romantic side, they were given as gifts to sweethearts with the implied message “you’re a keeper.”

18k gold herringbone "keeper band", London hallmarks 1895. A Victorian tradition --- a pre-betrothal gift that says "you're a keeper!". Size 8, this ring can be resized.
