This beautiful antique engagement ring features a large cushion cut 'cape' diamond, held in place with eagle-claw prongs and bordered by an octagonal diamond halo. Halo features twenty tiny old mine cut diamonds, set in platinum with a fine milligram detail. The piece is finished with a narrow yellow gold band and lovely openwork basket; this ring is the ring to measure all rings against. By formula, the center is approx. 3.08 carats, and is O-P color and I1 clarity. With influences from both the Edwardian and Art Deco periods, this ring was most likely made in America, c.1910-1920

This ring is in excellent antique condition. Presently it is a 5.25 and can be re-sized up on request.
