Our jewels come to us from all over the world, but it’s always nice to find a piece that began its life right here in NYC. This delightful diamond and sapphire band was made by J&L Hartzberg “Makers of Fine Platinum Mountings & Diamond Jewelry” who kept a shop at 665 5th Avenue from the 1920s - 1960s.

Late Art Deco platinum band with interwoven diamond & sapphire ribbons. With maker's mark for J&L Hartzberg. Approx 0.20 carats single cut diamonds and 0.55 carats of calibre cut sapphires in channel settings. Presently size 6.75, 1st half 20th century.
