Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Navette Ring

$7,800.00

The navette ring is one of those classic forms that antique rings take, but somehow no two are ever the same. Navette refers to the elongated shape which is said to slim the finger and coincidentally (to our delight) provides ample real estate for maximal gems. This version of the classic navette is softened by slightly rounded points and the gentle scalloping of the old European cut double halo. It’s contrasting center stone is a deep ocean blue marquise shaped sapphire set in yellow gold prongs. The sapphire weighs approximately 0.40cts and the diamonds weigh approximately 1.18 carats total, H-I color and SI1 clarity set in platinum over 18k yellow gold. Most likely made in continental Europe or the US c. 1895-1910.

This ring is in excellent antique condition. Currently a size 6 and can be resized.
