The term bombé may refer either to the delightful little dome-shaped cakes found in French pastry shops, or to the delightful little dome-shaped rings found in jewelers’ windows during the Art Deco era.
This confection of a ring is made of platinum and diamonds, and dates c. 1920. Featuring a GIA-certified old European cut center diamond that weighs 1.32 carats and is of J color and SI2 clarity. Bombé setting is studded with diamonds and replete with foliate piercework. Presently a size 6, this ring can be resized.
