Art Deco 2.21 Carat Bombe
Art Deco 2.21 Carat Bombe
The word bombe is reserved for all things delectable – from dome shaped French desserts to spectacular diamond rings. The name refers to the wide dome shape of the ring – providing ample space for the center diamond as well as three-dimensional openwork and filigree designs surrounding it. Not to mention, the wide silhouette is complimentary to nearly all hands. The center stone here is a 2.21 carat M color VS1 clarity old European cut diamond set in a bezel. It is surrounded by 0.52 carats of single cut diamonds in a platinum maze of openwork, milgrain and hand engraving. Not quite a French dessert, but most certainly a feast for your eyes. Made during the Art Deco period c. 1920.
This ring is in excellent antique condition. Presently a size 5.25 and can be resized.
