Victorian Diamond Heart Pendant/Brooch
Victorian Diamond Heart Pendant/Brooch
A diamond heart to wear around your neck or on your sleeve: It has a clever removable pin that converts the pendant to a brooch. The lively old mine cut diamonds are held in platinum prongs, a very early example of a jeweler’s use of this metal. A mix of shapes and colors, it’s likely the stones were reset from an even older piece. Heirloom stones in a cutting-edge mounting! Together, they form the worthiest of hearts.
Victorian pendant/brooch with removable mechanism. 18k rose gold topped with platinum, set with approx. 2.40 carats of old mine cut diamonds, ranging in color and clarity from I - L, SI - I1. c. 1890.
Measures 1" x 7/8", shown on a contemporary rose gold chain, available separately for purchase.
