This petit anchor pendant bears a big message – trust in hope through the tides of life. It was made in the city of Birmingham in the year 1884 and draws on the Victorian penchant for symbolism. Perhaps given as a gift to a Birmingham belle by her seafaring lover before departing on a long voyage. We can only make conjectures as to its specific history, but the message of hope it has carried these hundred and thirty years is unmistakable.

Made in 9k yellow gold and engraved on the front with feminine trefoil patterns. This pendant is in excellent antique condition. It measures 1.0” long and 0.75” wide. A variety of chains are available separately for purchase.
