This is perhaps the one circumstance where it’s ok to judge a book by its cover.

A locket that takes the form of a book, only each cover is made of gold and inlaid with lapis lazuli with a beautiful dusting of pyrite and surrounded by a black enamel frame. The latch on the side opens to reveal two pages of solid gold, which are engravable on both sides. Held together by an expertly handmade hinge and hung from an oval bale. The best part is that each page is still blank, ready for a tale of adventures to come. Made c. 1935 by the Newark, NJ firm Ekfeldt and Ackley.

This book is in excellent vintage condition. It measures 1.375” long, 1.125” wide and 0.125” deep.
