There’s something about a locket that says it all, without divulging much. They are an encasement for mementos of those most dear, only meant to be opened by the wearer. Yet simply by their presence they imply to all that the wearer’s heart is spoken for, be it by a lover, child, or a beloved pup. This locket layers on the messaging with scrolls of rubies to represent passion, and diamonds to represent eternal devotion. At the center is a rose cut diamond set in a classic mariner’s star. Made in 18 karat bloomed yellow gold c.1910, most likely from England and currently enclosing a photo of a little girl.

This necklace is in excellent antique condition. The pendant measures 1.125” in diameter and the chain is 18.0” long.
