Edwardian Guilloche Enamel Locket

$4,360.00

Guilloche enamel is a type of enameling achieved by working the metal on an engine turned lathe to form a pattern and then covering that pattern with translucent enamel. The process has the effect of adding volume and magic. This round 18 karat gold locket is made in stormy blue guilloche enamel and a white enamel center with rose cut diamonds set into trefoil floral motifs. Made at the turn of the 20th century and heavier than most of its contemporaries. Think Downton Abbey. C. 1900. The chain is modern, 18 karat yellow gold and 16.0 inches.

Pendant is in excellent antique condition and measures 1.25 inches in diameter. Monogrammed on the reverse side.
