When you don these earrings the winner’s circle becomes a state of mind rather than just a place. From afar, they look like simple studs, but a close look reveals a miniature painting. Each earring is made of domed rock crystal, first etched, and then painted on the back with a first-place blue ribbon, and finally backed in iridescent mother of pearl. Each cabochon is wrapped in smooth 14 karat yellow gold. At the center of each ribbon top, is a delicately rendered horse head. These are the classic ribbons given out to the top horse and rider in competition, only in this case rendered in gemstone and gold and poised to remind you of your inner champion every day. Made c. 1930.

These earrings are in excellent condition. They features a post and leverback closure and measure 0.5” in diameter.
