Sprezzatura. Rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Not surprisingly, it means effortlessness in Italian. Jewels can have sprezzatura, and these earrings certainly do. Their form is clean – a tall and smooth cabochon wrapped in a classic surround of diamonds. The color of the chalcedony cabs is a touch unexpected – a minty, lush green called chrysoprase, and the bright diamonds set in platinum make the whole look pop. Sleek, beautiful and nonchalant, or in Italian sprezzatura.  

These earrings are in excellent condition. Set with approximately 0.30 carats of rose cut diamonds in platinum on yellow gold and measure. Made c. 1910.
