A hand-engraved silver brooch in the shape of an anchor, gently tangled in a silver rope. The anchor is a Victorian symbol of hope and steadfastness, a sentiment that is just as needed in the 21^st century as it was in the 19^th. Handmade c. 1870 and carefully detailed with scrolls, stipple patterns and floral motifs.

This brooch is in excellent antique condition. It measures 3.0” long and 2.0” wide.
