A cheerful Victorian brooch made in the form of a Scottish dirk. The silver pin is enameled with a pattern of blue and green tartan, and set with three lemon-yellow citrines. It measures 2 ½ inches in length. “Scottish” jewelry, such as this pin, became very trendy in the mid-nineteenth century after Queen Victoria helped popularize Scotland as a tourist destination.

This brooch is in very good antique condition, and shows minor signs of wear.
