Some sunshine for your lapels. This fabulous retro brooch is a unique story in jewelry. It was made by Trabert & Hoffer in partnership with Mauboussin c. 1940 and was part of their special “Reflections” collection, which was launched in 1938. It was special because it allowed clients to have a hand in designing their own pieces by providing them with an array of pre-cast elements that they could incorporate into the design. This brooch is emblematic of the retro period with its high polished gold, rich variety of colored gems and ribbonlike flourishes. Set with approximately 16 carats of rectangular citrines, 0.60 carats of diamonds as well as cabochon blue sapphires.

This brooch is in excellent vintage condition. It measures 2.5 inches by 2.25 inches and is signed and numbered.
