Platinum Late Art Deco Engagement Ring

4,200.00

Stylistically this ring has remained classic through the decades but upon closer examination delightful and pleasing details capture our attention. Center diamond is an old European cut  weighing approximately .65 carats, is K color and VS2 clarity. This antique cut diamond is set in a square head with six single cut diamonds set on either side. Each tiny diamond is seated in neat geometric shapes that give way to a knife edge shank. Total carat weight has been estimated at.89ctw. The inside of the shank is hallmarked ‘10%Irid.Plat’ indicating this piece is platinum and has been alloyed with iridium, a common alloy in the early 20th century.  This piece is from the late Art Deco period, c.1935 and is in excellent condition. It is presently a size 6 and can be re-sized upon request.
