Victorian Turquoise Cluster Earrings

0.00

Early Victorian 14k gold cluster earrings with 38 bead-set Persian turquoise cabochons. This style of turquoise jewelry became popular after Queen Victoria gifted her bridesmaids a turquoise encrusted brooch to celebrate her wedding. Turquoise is thought to be the color of true love and fidelity, so a fitting gift indeed. These earrings were once cufflinks, and now have fun movement as short dangle earrings on 14k yellow gold shepherds hooks. Turquoise clusters are approximately ½” in diameter and were made c.1840.

These earrings are in very good antique condition. There are small chips on some of the cabochons, which does not affect the overall appearance of the earrings.
